Cops Search for Bank Heist Suspect

The suspect demanded cash at an HSBC bank downtown

Police were searching for a suspect who allegedly held up an HSBC bank downtown on Monday.

The suspect showed a demand note and demanded cash about 11.30 a.m. at the bank on 225 Broadway, located on the west side of the NBC 7 San Diego building, according to police.

The suspect fled on foot.

The man, believed to be in his twenties, is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, with dark curly hair and thick eye brows, and a medium build.

He was wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, white under shirt, dark dress slacks and brown shoes, according to police.
