Cops Corral Loose Sheep

It sounds like a nursery rhyme gone wrong.

This time it was the flock of confused sheep that didn't know where to find home.

The small group of about five sheep ended up in a suburb south of San Diego on Memorial Day.

Chula Vista police started getting calls early Monday from residents who reported seeing the sheep wandering the streets of Otay Ranch.

Chula Vista Animal Control officers were called in. They gathered up the sheep and shipped them off to the city's animal shelter.

The sheep didn't have any identifying marks to determine where they may have come from or who they belong to but were in good condition Chula Vista spokesperson Bernard Gonzales said.
