Construction workers found what appeared to be a suspicious device on a Tierrasanta recreation center Monday afternoon.
The crews reported the object to authorities at about 3 p.m. Monday in the area in the 10600 block of Escobar Drive, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The Metro Arson Strike Team responded and removed the device. They are now investigating the incident.
