Collapsed Balcony Falls on Elderly Man

Rescuers rushed to a collapsed Spring Valley balcony Tuesday afternoon to extricate an elderly man trapped beneath, according to a Heartland Fire and Rescue dispatch.

The balcony collapsed on the 9800 block of Date Street shortly after 5 p.m.

The reason for the collapse was not disclosed, and the man's condition was not immediately available.
