Coach Gets Reduced Sentence for Sex With Student

A judge said Dominic Scarfe was remorseful of his relationship with a student

A former high school volleyball coach is going to jail for a year because of his sexual relationship with a student.

Dominic Scarfe, 32, worked at Madison High and admitted to a two-month relationship with his 17-year old student.

He could have faced four years behind bars, but on Thursday a judge said Scarfe's remorse and positive psychological evaluation allowed for a reduced sentence.

He will also serve five years probation and have to register as a sex offender for life.
