Chopper Lands on Fallbrook Golf Course

A military helicopter made an unexpected landing on a Fallbrook golf course Monday night.

The Sheriff's Department received a report that the helicopter had landed on the Pala Mesa Resort's golf course on Old Highway 395 at about 10 p.m., a department official said.

The helicopter was a Third Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), a Camp Pendleton spokesperson said. It reportedly ran out of fuel and landed on the golf course to refuel.

Shortly after the Sheriff's Department was called, the two people on board were coordinating a fuel truck for assistance.

No one was injured.
