A 10-year-old was walking in Kensington when he was hit by a vehicle, police said

A 10-year-old pedestrian was injured Wednesday after being hit by a car in Kensington.

According to police, the collision happened at 6:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Marlborough Avenue.

Medics were requested for the child, who sustained non-life threatening injuries to the face and leg, police said. The boy was conscious and breathing.

He was transported to Rady Children’s Hospital.

The driver remained at the scene as police investigated the accident.

No further information has been released.
