Chargers Return to SD after Victory in Cincinnati

Fans greeted the Bolts at Chargers Park on Sunday evening

The Chargers got a warm, loud welcome as they returned to Chargers Park on Sunday after their victory against the Cincinnati Bengals.

"Chargers pulled something out that nobody believed they were going to pull out," Spencer said.

Among the fans welcoming the team was Don Spencer, who was thrilled to be able to meet the players just after their win. Spencer waited outside Chargers Park with his family for hours to be part of the homecoming.

Spencer and other fans, like the Castro family, said there was no where else they'd rather be than at Chargers Park at that moment.

"The Chargers play like a family, the fans cheer them on like a family," said "Fat Tony" Castro.

With their victory, the team is now one step closer to the Super Bowl, leaving fans excited for what's in store as they take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

"[We] feel excitement from the fans, but we want to keep it going," said Bolts Quarterback Philip Rivers.

Head Coach Mike McCoy said the team was in a good position heading into their next game.

"We got to put a good plan together to [get] another win," said McCoy. "Go out there [and] do whatever you got to do to find another one."
