Carmel Valley Power Outage Affects 2,000+ Residents

Carmel Valley Power Outage Affects 2,000+ Residents

A power outage in Carmel Valley Wednesday night left more than 2,000 people without power.

A power outage reported by San Diego Gas & Electric Wednesday night left approximately 2,082 customers without power in the Carmel Valley area.

According to SDGE, the power outage was reported at 7:11 p.m. The cause was described by SDGE as a “suspected problem in [an] overhead electrical system.”

By 8:40 p.m., SDGE said approximately 725 residents in the affected Carmel Valley area were still without power.

The estimated time of full restoration is 11:30 p.m.
