Car Slams into Spring Valley Church

Authorities said the driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brake

A vehicle crashed into a church in Spring Valley Saturday night, fire and rescue officials said.

According to Heartland Fire authorities, a driver hit the gas instead of the brakes and drove into Trinity Presbyterian Church in the 3900 block of Kenwood Drive.

The driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

At the time of the crash, the church was hosting a movie night in another part of the building but officials said nobody was hurt.

The pastor of the church said this is the second time this has happened at the Spring Valley church.
