The sheriff's department is investigating what caused a car to plow into a Starbucks with employees inside.
The crash occurred on Sunday night in San Marcos near state Route 78 and the Rancho Santa Fe exit. The driver of the car exited the off-ramp, went across two lanes of traffic and hit the business, according to sheriff's investigators.
The driver was taken to Palomar hospital but is expected to be OK. Nobody inside the Starbucks was injured.
