A 43-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries to her legs after a driver pulling into a parking space at a 7-Eleven store on Airport Road in Carlsbad accelerated and hit her, according to the Carlsbad Police Department.
The woman had been sitting on a block wall in front of the store Sunday around 11:23 a.m. when the car drove over the curb and struck her.
The driver is identified as a 34-year-old woman from Los Angeles. DUI is not suspected to have played a role in the collision at this time.
