The car did not go inside the complex but slammed into a side wall

Car Crashes into Ramona Apartment Building

Two people were injured when a car slammed into the side of an apartment building in Ramona Friday.

A grey Ford Escort crashed into the side of a unit in the Canyon Crest Apartments on Brea Street around 11:30 a.m. Friday.

According to Cal Fire, one person was transported to a nearby hospital by helicopter. Another was taken to the hospital by ambulance. It’s believed one of the injured was in the car. The second victim was inside the apartment complex.

Eight people were displaced firefighters said. The San Diego chapter of the American Red Cross was called in to help with housing.
