California's New Budget Means Everyone Will Have to Pay Sales Tax Online

In these times where money is tight, we'll take what we can, to save a buck.

As of July 1, our wallets will get some slight relief, when the state sales tax drops by 1 percent.

A temporary 1 percent sales tax increase was put into effect in 2009, as part of a budget agreement, but will end June 30, says Biz Journals.

The tax also had an affect on California's "use tax," which taxed residents when they purchased items online, from companies that had no physical presence in this state.

As of July 1, sales tax in California will range from 7.25 percent to 9.75 percent.
