    An off-duty California Highway Patrol officer was arrested after allegedly ramming his car into his wife's vehicle.

    Armando Arriaga, 46, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of drunk driving and assault with a deadly weapon.

    Arriago was allegedly following his wife, Melanie Arriaga, 52, from their Oceanside home after an argument. He rammed his BMW sedan into the back of her PT Cruiser in an alley in the 600 block of N. Coast Highway, the North County Times reported.

    Arriaga was taken into custody Wednesday. He was released Thursday after posting a $30,000 bond, according to the paper.

    No one was hurt.
