The brush fire broke out around noon Sunday on Black Canyon Road near the Mesa Grande Reservation, near Cleveland National Forest.

Officials initially reported the fire at 75 acres, but a better mapping of the area helped them revise the total acreage to 46 acres.

Bob Grande drove out to make sure his property was safe.
