Clairemont Homes Threatened by Brush Fire

The fire burned in a canyon near homes in Clairemont.

A brush fire burned in a canyon in Clairemont and threatens nearby homes on Tuesday, according to authorities.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze near Genesee Avenue and Chateau Drive in the canyon.

The blaze was threatening nearby homes, according to the fire department. The blaze was put out before damaging any structures.

Police issued a SigAlert for two hours on Genesee while firefighters clear the scene.
