Two small brush fires burned near the U.S./Mexico border Saturday afternoon.
The first fire started about 2.20 p.m. and was burning in a canyon on Surfrider Way in Otay Mesa. It burned at three acres and was fully contained by 3.50 p.m.
The second fire shut down all lanes of southbound Interstate-805 near San Ysidro Blvd., and was fully contained by 3.48 p.m.
No structures were threatened.
