Firefighters were attacking a brush fire Friday afternoon in Rainbow Valley near Temecula.
As of 4:20 p.m., fire reached five acres, according to Riverside County Fire Department. But scanner traffic in the area put the acreage count much higher. An aerial view showed the fire to be around 20 acres.
No homes were threatened. Traffic along the freeway was moving slowly.
The blaze was reportedly started by a car fire along the freeway.
