Border Patrol agents arrested nine adults found aboard a boat at Dana Basin in Mission Bay Saturday afternoon.
The eight men and one woman were all believed to have been trying to enter the United States illegally.
Border Patrol originally received a call from the Department of Fish and Wildlife around 2:30 p.m.
When Fish and Wildlife intercepted the boat they noticed several people trying to conceal themselves.
All of the suspects were arrested and taken to a Border Patrol station
for processing. One of them is believed to have been a
smuggler and will face human smuggling charges.
