A man who tried to run down a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent in a Grantville parking garage has been arrested, police said.

The agent was walking to his own car when he saw two men trying to break into a vehicle early Thursday, according to Lt. Terry McManus.

One of the suspects, Nicholas Burnthon, 22, tried to flee in a pickup truck that he then turned and drove toward the agent. Police said the agent feared for his life and fired at the truck, but missed. Burnthon stopped and was taken into custody.

The second suspect, Andrew Sigsbee, 23, was taken into custody about an hour later.

Both men were booked on suspicion of vehicular burglary. Burnthon is also expected to be charged with assault on a peace officer.
