When a woman walked into a California police station last week, officers thought she said she was delivering a bomb only to find it was a bong instead, officials said.
Oceanside Police shared the story with its Facebook audience on Thursday, describing what happened at police headquarters a week prior. [[361434651,C]]
The receptionist told a police supervisor she heard the woman say, ""I think I have a bomb in this bag."
When the supervisor looked inside, he smiled and said, "Not a bomb. A bong!" according to the department's post.

The Oceanside Police reported a section of its headquarters was evacuated on Thursday, December 3 due to a suspicious device.
An official told NBC 7 a tripflare had been dropped off in the lobby for safe keeping. Because the tripflare did not have a pin it it, officers had to shut down the area.
