The Chargers big win against the Chiefs has created massive hype among Bolts fans and businesses in San Diego as the team gears up for playoffs.

No matter how successful the Chargers are in their upcoming playoffs game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the celebration continues in San Diego and businesses near Qualcomm Stadium are cashing in on the hype.

On Monday, Qualcomm Stadium hosted the Holiday Bowl but in the parking lot, football fans replayed the Chargers’ triumph, sporting team jerseys.

“We’ve still been partying since yesterday. As you can tell, my voice is gone from screaming the whole time,” said tailgater Steven Kurtz.

Chargers fan Sean Murphy said Sunday’s miraculous win against the Chiefs was unforgettable.

“It was crazy; it was one of the best games I have ever seen,” said Murphy.

Walking distance from San Diego’s stadium, Mission Valley businesses are anticipating an uptick in business – and post-season profits.

McGregor’s Grill & Ale House on San Diego Mission Road is a popular pre-game oasis when the Chargers are playing.

Manager Steven Carlson expects customers will find the post-season just as entertaining on the bar’s big screens.

“It’s great. It's good for the bar and it's good for San Diego. Everyone is on the Charger hype right now and it's fun,” said Carlson.

Close by, in a place where they are usually taking it off, Vivid Tan is putting team jerseys on and displaying Chargers gear in the waiting area.

Owner Daniel Cruz says they shop usually sells one jersey every six months or so, but the blue and gold logo grabs the attention of passersby.

Chargers fans are happy to add to the hype. Many feel a Bolts win has something for just about everyone.

“It brings people to the bars. It brings people out to celebrate if they win,” Murphy said.

NBC 7 checked with one local ticket broker who says there has been little interest among locals in traveling for the Chargers’ playoffs game in Cincinnati.

The broker said a tough economy and bad winter weather in Ohio are likely major factors deterring fans from traveling to the playoffs game.

Still, the Chargers team office is offering a travel package to the playoffs for $750 per person, plus airfare.
