A man whose body was found on Black's Beach on Monday has been identified.
   
Surfers discovered the body of Richard Mitchell, 49, on Monday morning.The man dressed in shorts and a T-shirt appears to have been in the water for 24 to 48 hours, according to San Diego police officer Jerry Mills.

Officials said he apparently lived alone in an apartment in Hillcrest.
   
There is no immediate word on the cause of death, but an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

Police said there were no signs of foul play. Mitchell was wearing board shorts and a T-shirt when he was found.
