A San Diego man whose body was found by a hiker in Mission Trails Regional Park has been identified today, but what caused his death remained unknown, authorities said.
The body of 33-year-old Jeffery Martin Andrews was discovered Wednesday on a mountainside near the 8300 block of Father Junipero Serra Trail, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office reported.
The hiker who found the body stopped a jogger, who called 911.
The Santee Fire Department responded to the emergency call and confirmed Andrews' death.
