Employee Found Dead at Jamul Ranch

Man may have been homicide victim

A man's body was discovered at a Jamul ranch Saturday morning in what may have been a homicide, a San Diego County sheriff's official confirmed.

The homeowner at 15677 Lyons Valley Rd found the body on the property's private quarters at about 9 a.m. The body's condition and observations in the area suggested foul play, sheriffs said.

The apparent victim was an employee and resident at the property.

Sheriff's Crime Lab, Lemon Grove Station, Homicide Detail and U.S. Border Patrol detectives arrived at the scene to investigate the possible homicide.

Neither a motive nor a positive identification of the victim have yet been established, sheriffs said.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to call the Homicide Detail at (858) 974-2321 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
