The badly decomposed body of a man was found Friday afternoon in bushes near an Encinitas intersection, sheriff's deputies said.
Lifeguards reported the body's discovery by Cottonwood Creek and near the intersection of Encinitas Boulevard and Highway 101 at about 4:40 p.m.
Homicide detectives and the medical examiner have determined that the man died of natural causes.
His identity is still being determined.
