Women Rescued Off Torrey Pines Cliffs

Lifeguards and firefighters rescued three women stranded atop the cliffs above Black's Beach.

Three women were trapped on the cliffs above Black's Beach on Monday night, according San Diego Fire Department.
At about 10:45 p.m., SDFD responded to a call of three women struck on the cliffs near the Torrey Pines Glider Port. Lifeguards assisted at the scene and a helicopter was used to locate and rescue the victims around 11:30 p.m.
One woman broke her right ankle, the other victims were unharmed.
It is unknown why the victims were out so late, according to San Diego Lifeguard Services.
