Blackout Lifted for Chargers Game

Chargers will be wearing powder blue alternate uniforms

The television blackout has been lifted for the Chargers’ showdown against the AFC West rival Denver Broncos on Sunday, according to the team.

The Chargers (4-6) are two games back of the first-place Oakland Raiders (6-4) in the AFC West. Their last victory was Oct. 9 against the Broncos.

Nearly 100 former players will be at Qualcomm Stadium Sunday for the team’s Alumni Weekend.

“Fans attending Sunday’s game will witness the official halftime induction ceremony of former linebacker Junior Seau into the Chargers Hall of Fame,” said Chargers spokesperson Bill Johnston.

Seau will be introduced by fellow Chargers Hall of Famer and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Fouts, according to Johnston.

“He will be presented with his Hall of Fame statue and, following his remarks, the team will unveil his banner and place in the Chargers’ Ring of Honor in Qualcomm Stadium,” said Johnston.

The Chargers will be wearing the powder blue alternate uniforms on Sunday.

Kickoff is 1:15 p.m.
