A bicyclist was killed in a fatal collision with a motorcyclist Saturday evening, according to California Highway Patrol officials.
CHP said the crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of Morena Boulevard.
A 59-year-old man was riding a bicycle, straddling the lanes, when another male on a motorcycle struck him.
The bicyclist sustained fatal injuries from the collision and was transported to a local trauma center with serious head injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, CHP confirmed.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries.
The name of the bicyclist has not yet been released.
