Better Find Another Route

Expect some traffic delays and detours if you're traveling at night along State Route 56. 

At 8 p.m, the ramps to and from SR56 at Carmel Country Road and Carmel Creek Road  will be shut down.  They will re-open at 4 a.m.  

Drivers are encouraged to instead use state routes 78, and  52, as well as  surface streets to transition from Interstate 5 to the 15.  

Caltrans says the closures are expected to last through October.
