Barona Casino Robbery Suspects Plead Not Guilty

Suspects in connection with multiple robberies plead not guilty

The two men arrested for potentially robbing Barona Casino plead not guilty during an arraignment Monday afternoon.

On Nov. 9, four men armed with guns robbed Barona Casino. They targeted a large glass display filled with money. About $3,000 was taken.

Robert Chavira and Ryan Alan McKnight were arrested one day after the robbery occurred.

The pair is suspect to a series of robberies throughout October and November, including a Fashion Valley jewelry store theft.

Chavira and McKnight have been charged with two counts of robbery with a gun and one count of arson.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 23.
