Baby Born Along San Diego Highway
The expectant parents were on the way to the hospital when the baby decided it was time

A baby girl and her mother are doing well after the child arrived on a San Diego highway overnight.
The delivery happened around midnight on State Route 56 in Carmel Valley.
A couple was desperately trying to get to the hospital when they had to pull over.
The husband pulled over and delivered the girl with the help of a 911 operator.
Both mom and daughter are resting comfortably at Scripps La Jolla Hospital.
