A man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease went missing Saturday evening, and Oceanside police are asking for the public's help to locate him.

Robert "Bob" Worden, 79, was last seen at about 6:30 p.m. at his residence in the 3900 block of North Vista Campana in Oceanside. Alzheimer's is a form of dementia, affecting memory, thinking and behavior.

Wodren does not drive, so police presume he walked away from his home.

He is approximately 5-foot-6 and weighs about 180 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a long sleeve blue button-up shirt, gray pants and brown slippers.

Police say he has a difficult time enunciating words, so communication with him maybe a problem.

Anybody with information about Worden's whereabouts is asked to contact Oceanside police Lt. Fred Armijo at 760-435-4797.
