Armed Man Steals Meds from CVS

Suspect walked away with $15,000 in medication

Police in Oceanside are asking for the public's help in finding a man who reportedly stole medication from a CVS pharmacy earlier this month.

The robbery on June 1 happened at the store in the 1900 block of College Blvd. just before 10 p.m., a statement from police said.

The suspect entered the store and held a handgun up to the clerk in the pharmacy section,  demanding medication.

The clerk complied, handing over $15,000-worth of prescription medication.

Photos from the armed robbery (right) show the suspect is anywhere between 25 and 35 years old, about 5'5'' and up to 150 pounds. He is believed to have blue eyes and a thin mustache and possible goatee.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black beanie knit cap, black hooded sweatshirt, black shoes with a light-colored sole.

He was last seen leaving the store in an 80's era Nissan Sentra, headed northbound on College Blvd.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mark LaVake at (760) 435-4872.
