Amazon Prime Now Offers One-Hour Booze Delivery in San Diego

Amazon announced its Prime Now service will now offer one-hour delivery of beer, wine and spirits in San Diego via local retailer, Keg N Bottle

In the mood for a beer? If you live in San Diego, you can now get booze delivered to your door in one hour through Amazon’s Prime Now service.

On Thursday, Amazon announced its Prime Now service had launched beer, wine and spirits delivery in San Diego, with orders being fulfilled through local retailer, Keg N Bottle. As seen on Keg N Bottle's website, the retailer sells a wide array of alcohol, from domestic beer and locally-produced craft brews to wine, champagne and moonshine.

San Diego joins Seattle and Manhattan on the short list of Prime Now cities offering alcohol delivery.

Amazon’s Prime Now service launched in San Diego in November, offering speedy delivery for Prime members on items such as groceries, prepared meals and baked goods, as well as daily staples like paper towels. Customers in San Diego can get their groceries delivered through Prime Now from places like Sprouts Farmers Market, Bristol Farms, Northgate Market and Sprinkles Cupcakes.

In San Diego, Prime Now is available seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Two-hour delivery is free, while one-hour delivery is available for a fee of $7.99.

The service is accessible through the Prime Now app. When service is available in your zip code, the app sends you a notification.

San Diego is among 25 cities in the U.S. where the Prime Now service operates.
