5 Injured in Airport Shuttle Bus Crash

Travelers stuck in traffic on the main route into Lindbergh Field early Thursday.

Passengers of an airport shuttle bus were injured in a traffic collision just outside the commuter terminal at San Diego’s Lindbergh Field.

The crash happened around 6 a.m. Thursday when the shuttle bus collided with two other vehicles along North Harbor Drive and Winship Lane.

The collision occurred right by United and American Eagle Airline commuter terminal.

Details on what caused the accident are not clear.

Five people were sent to a nearby hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

San Diego’s Harbor police are investigating.
