Fire rescue crews were called the scene of an 8-year-old boy stuck in a tree near Mission Trails Friday morning.

The boy became stuck on a small branch about 30 feet up the tree on the 7800 block of Golfcrest Dr., the fire department said.

Crews arrived to help the boy down just after 9 a.m., but the boy was difficult to access. By 9:30 a.m., the boy was safely helped out the tree.
