75-Year-Old Victim Hospitalized After Hit and Run

The collision happened in Grant Hill Friday morning

A 75-year-old woman sustained a broken arm and facial injuries after being struck by a pickup truck that fled the scene, police said.

The hit and run happened in the 2600 block of Market Street in Grant Hill Friday morning, just before 10 a.m., police confirmed.

A 75-year-old woman was walking southbound on the crosswalk when a Hispanic or white male driver in a blue Ford F150 pickup truck hit her. The driver, who police said is approximately 45 years old, briefly pulled over to check the victim’s welfare and then drove away.

Witnesses called police and the pedestrian was transported to the hospital for treatment. Her current condition is unknown.

Police described the suspect as heavy, about 5-foot-4, wearing a white shirt. Police said the man’s truck should have noticeable front-end damage.
