4 Vehicles Involved in Suspected DUI Crash

Police arrest man believed to have been driving under the influence

One man was taken to the hospital early Thursday  morning after a suspected DUI driver caused a 4-car collision on the 805 freeway.

The crash happened just after midnight on the southbound 805 just south of University, according to officials with the San Diego Police Department.

The driver of a Honda Civic lost control, slamming into a Honda CR-V.

The CRV spun out of control. Officials say four vehicles were involved in the crash.

Officers and medics found the driver of the CRV lying on the side of the road -- he was taken to Mercy hospital with minor injures.

The man behind the wheel of the Civic was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
