Officers are responding to reports of an armed robbery in the College East area of San Diego Thursday night, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD).
One person was confronted by the suspect with a gun and asked to give him their cell phone.
The incident happened at around 8:43 p.m. on the 6300 block of Mesita Drive near El Cajon Boulevard and College Avenue.
Police say the victim reported the suspect running southbound on Mesita Drive. He was possibly driving an older Nissan vehicle.
The victim's cell phone was reported to be stolen.
The suspect is described to be in his 20s, 5-feet 9-inches, wearing a tank top.
No other information was immediately available.
