3.9 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Big Bear

A preliminary 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck outside the town of Big Bear Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor struck at 1:08 p.m. a little over a mile southeast of the popular mountain town, 20 miles east of Yucaipa and 21 miles east of Lake Arrowhead.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
