A 22-year-old man suffered “major trauma” after falling 30 feet from a trail Saturday, according to San Diego Lifeguards.
Lifeguards received a call about a hiker in distress around 3 p.m. Officials say he fell off a cliff called Box Canyon near the Torrey Pines Gliderport.
Two helicopters responded. The hiker was flown to Scripps La Jolla, where his condition is unknown.
