$200K in Marijuana Crops Seized from Bonsall Home

Deputies seized the plants from a probationer’s house Thursday morning

Two marijuana plants with an estimated street value of more than $200,000 were seized by deputies from home in Bonsall Thursday.

According to sheriffs, deputies found the pot plants around 11:15 a.m. while conducting a probation search at a residence on the 6900 block of West Lilac Road.

The search was part of the Sheriff’s Intelligence-led Policing/Tracking Known Offenders program.

Deputies were checking in on probationer John Paul, 43. Per the terms of his probation, searches are permitted without a warrant, sheriffs said.

Upon searching Paul’s home, deputies said they found two marijuana crops growing adjacent to his residence. The plants were seized as evidence.

Paul was arrested and booked into Vista Jail for alleged cultivation of marijuana and allegedly being under the influence of narcotics.
