Two Spring Valley schools were put on lockdown Monday as deputies searched for a suspect, possibly carrying a weapon.

Loma Elementary School on Loma Lane and Monte Vista High School on Sweetwater Springs Blvd. were put on lockdown after a 911 call about a domestic dispute incident at 11.44 a.m.

The lockdown had been lifted by 1 p.m.

The suspect was allegedly involved in a dispute between a father and a son off campus that left one person seriously injured, according to deputies. It was not immediately clear who was injured in the attack.

The suspect was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and could have been carrying a machete or a gun, according to deputies. He fled the scene.
