Two light rail passengers were injured when a trolley slammed into a postal vehicle, firefighters said.
The accident happened about 11.30 a.m. Wednesday at Park Boulevard and G Street in the East Village.
Medics took one trolley customer, a man in his 40s who uses a wheelchair, to Scripps Mercy Hospital, according to San Diego Fire and Rescue spokesperson Maurice Luque. Another passenger -- a woman also in her 40s -- was transported to Kaiser Hospital.
Neither patient suffered serious injuries, and the driver of the post-office vehicle was unharmed.
The mail from the postal vehicle was transferred to another postal vehicle.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
