Police say the man was trapped under a lift

The lift at a restaurant supply warehouse malfunctioned Tuesday morning, killing a worker.

A man was killed while working at a Chula Vista restaurant supply warehouse Tuesday morning.
The industrial accident occurred at about 11:40 a.m. Tuesday on the 800 block of Hollister St., police said.
The man was unloading a platform on a crane when one of the crane's wheels fell off, causing the man to fall.
The driver hit his head on the concrete below.
Cal/OSHA is investigating the accident.
