A total of 102 people with outstanding felony warrants have been arrested in San Diego County, according to U.S. Marshals.

More than two dozen local, state and federal law enforcement agencies teamed up Wednesday and Thursday for “Operation Free Bird.”

The sweep was dubbed “Operation Free Bird” because officials say no extra money was spent.

“Free Bird was an operation that was conducted with zero dollars,” said Steven Jurman with the Fugitive Task Force. “There was no overtime expended. There was nothing expended over agencies' normal operating budgets.”

According to U.S. Marshals, there are more than 17,000 active warrants in the county. This sweep focused on high-risk offenders, wanted for sex crimes, homicide, gang affiliation and more.

Officials say they recovered cars, weapons, drugs and stolen law enforcement equipment during the raid.
