Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has toured a Sacramento hospital that is treating children burned earlier this month in a blaze at a day care center in northern Mexico.

He visited about 30 children in all on Friday.

Schwarzenegger described the visit to Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California as a sad one because of the pain the children were suffering from their burn wounds.

The hospital is treating nine children who were burned in the fire in Hermosillo, Mexico, which killed 48, including a 3-year-old girl who died Friday at Cincinnati's Shriners Hospital for Children. He handed out teddy bears to those children.

Schwarzenegger spokesman Aaron McLear said the governor spent about 90 minutes visiting with all the children.
