He moved to San Diego a few months ago and is now arguably the city's most eligible bachelor as the holder of the winning ticket to the $47 million Mega Millions jackpot.

The 24-year old insurance agent moved from New Jersey six months ago and bought the winning ticket at a 7-Eleven on Cass Street near Loring Street in Pacific Beach. The city was caught up in the mystery of who bought the winning ticket because it took Moitz several days to claim the prize.

At a news conference Wednesday, Moitz explained that he played random numbers that just happened to match the winning combination, 2, 11, 19, 21, 34 and the Mega number 38 in Friday's draw.

He woke up Saturday and decided to check his ticket. He looked at the numbers on the website and did a double take.  "I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or not so I knock on my roommate's door," said Moitz. The roommate looked at the ticket and shook his head. They then took a picture of the ticket and emailed it to his parents and his sister. After a few minutes Moitz says it started to settle in.

When asked what he's going to do with the money, Moitz said "It's been three days or four days, I've been so overwhelmed and so excited, I haven't given it much serious thought."

"I'm just enjoying this moment right now," he said.

Surrounded by his parents who took the first flight out from New Jersey Monday morning, Moitz said he wants to make sure his family and his future family are secure.  He has a father, mother, sister and brother. When asked if he was single, he said at this time he didn't want to disclose that.

"My mind is running a mile a minute," he said. "I've only held this much money when I'm playing Monopoly."
